Ah yes, but HOW did Rusty do that? Ginny was pissed at Rusty (supposedly Rusty, who knows) for much the same reason.

Maybe Jonas Sr. did a memory wipe on Rusty for some unrevealed reason?

Don't look too deep just yet...I think Col. Gentleman is just referring to Rusty nearly hitting it off with Tata in the jungle, but then becoming creeped out by her epilepsy and leaving.
