I have to say, I've only seen it once so far, but really, I can;t quite make my mind up. It should be a great episode, tehre were alot of things that have always resonated well with me. And yet... I didn't quite enjoy it. I was waiting to love it. I was expecting to love it. The entire time I thought I should be loving it. And yet...

Maybe I just need to see it a few more times.

Scaramantula seemed to imply he was immortal and as unaffected by 40 years as was Brainulo.

Brainulo invoked one of the Tick's villains - Mister Mental.

i think Scaramantula was indicating that escaping up that long, hidden staircase (and, by extension, repeatedly climbing them) was how he stayed fit and full of vigor, not that he was some kind of immortal.

I'm going to watch it yet again for that same reason. Like, it had all the ingredients the great episodes have, and it didn't really miss on any jokes, but it seemed much lesser than the sum of its parts.

I feel the same way. It had almost everything I could want in a Venture bros. Episode, but It still felt lack-luster. Like it was just missing that certain "Jene se quas" that is usually found pouring from Venture.
Most of this season has felt that way for me though. Not all, but Most.
