The Monarch tricking Dean was a total Star Wars reference, that is twice this season even though they promised not to do so on Season 2's commentary. By my count both Doc and Jackson need to get their eighth grade hair cuts.

I don't know. That speech was definitely SW-esque, but I wouldn't call that a reference, per se. More like a deliberate usage of reverse psychology disguised as the hero/villain seduction speech. Just because Vader did one of the better ones doesn't make it a Star Wars reference.

Nope. Star Wars ref for sure. I believe Jackson said that he'd make no more of them, but that Doc had.

Yeah this season is touted as '98% fewer Star Wars references' and I believe that was Doc's one that Jackson mentioned a while back
