Classic Sound Effect: When The Monarch blew away that pathetic Dr. Dugong, did anybody else not think "Autobot gun sound effect!" ?
Dermott continues to make me shake my head sadly. He's like a composite of a few guys I went to school with.
That lighter-up-his-ass boobytrap was priceless.
Interesting how he might occasionally throw a low-level taunt at Dean, but he doesn't lay it on as thick as he first did. Looks like that ass-beating drove some respect into him.
About him being Brock's son...there's gotta be a further curve-ball that's going to be thrown at us.
The Moppets...I wonder if they're going to pull a coup d'tat on The Monarch and possibly Dr. Girlfriend as well, especially after that little planning session they had while watching Nell.
JJ versus The Monarch? YES! The Guild approved this? I wonder if JJ signed up for an arch-enemy or if his status as a super-scientist guarantees him one...whether he wants it or not.
Well, now The Monarch gets to see what it's like to take on a REAL super-scientist...it's a good thing he has Dr. Girlfriend and The Moppets, else he'd be totally screwed.
This season is really shaping up...although I'm still waiting for this season's Victor Echo November.

Good point...on the one hand, Rusty never understood The Monarch's hatred of him, he's also been super-annoyed by the whole thing from the start anyway. (filing complaints with the Guild)
But like you said, jealousy of JJ might cause him....to apply with the Guild to have The Monarch reassigned?
Or maybe something with Sergeant Hatred...a stage-managed fight designed for publicity, like that Walking Eye. Hmmmm

Well, Killinger was going to arch Venture with his brother before, so it wasn't like it came out of left field or anything. Truth be told, I'm surprised it took this long for it to happen.
Honestly, I think the Monarch is probably a bit in over his head arching JJ. Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, on the other hand... that'll be interesting...
