i think all of them might be characters from 80s videos. i only recognized three mentioned so far, but the others are probably from videos, too.

Hello again folks,

Both of those references made the entire episode for me, Firestarter was funny enough, but then Jackson and Doc throw us Art of Noise, and the episode suddenly cranked up to 11. Then there's like a billion other old Music Video character references abound in the shelter.

As far as the leader of the group, I'm taking a stab here, but it really looks a lot like General Boy of DEVO fame.
