This episode was fun, but I prefer the more plot-driven Venture episodes. This season has hinted at lots of new plot threads and then apparently dropped them (the Monarch getting along with Doc, Doc re-evaluating his moral choices after Killinger's visit, Hatred being nice to Doc to aggravate the Monarch) and created several more yet to be resolved (the Moppets scheming against the Monarch, some connection between Brock and Sgt. Hatred, the re-establishment of the Guild, Phantom Limb on the run, Brock having a son, Triana finally falling for Dean, the Monarch and Dr. Mrs. the Monarch getting a new arch). Unless this episode somehow relates to the main story arc, I'm going to be a little disappointed. At any rate, Jackson and Doc are going to have their hands full tying up all these threads, but hey, they did it in season 2.

I don't know, it seems to be following the same pattern from last season: 1) introduce new plto threads 2) random episodes 3)Develop pplot threads 4) Random episodes 5) Conclude plot threads.

Also, with season 4 already green lit, they probably don't feel as much pressure to tie everything up in a nice bow by the end of season 3.

Yeah, you're probably right. I know I should quit my bitching, but the main plotline is just so damn engaging.
