Can't be, though I initially thought that myself. Brock and Rusty are about the same age- they were both in college together. Perhaps "Operation Rusty's Blanket" predates Brock's assignment to the Venture family, and there was an OSI operative sassigned BEFORE Brock... that's got potential for a storyline.

At this point a story to unravel the past is not needed for the whole team venture thing even though there's like 3 different versions the 5 man team, the jhonny quest reference and the mystery man that looks like a cross of brock with ace bannon. Actually it would great to see what they come up with in the future

Unless it was a time travel thing... you know Brock Sampson goes back in time to help the Venture family in their time of need and the resulting anachronism is captured on a lunch box?

You know sort of like Bruce Willis in Twelve Monkeys.

Why would OSI need to put Operation Rusty's Blanket into effect when the original Team Venture was there? They weren't screw-ups then.
