Come to think of it, I've also found that I rather enjoy Hank and Dean more when they're seperated, which, the more I think about it, was most of the reason why they're the most annoying part of season 1 for most people. Together, they're both rather stupid. Seperate, though, you actually get a better idea that, while they're both still kind of dim-witted, they each have they're gifts, and they're own individual brands of stupidity that makes them quite enjoyable to watch.

This is furthered even more by the individualized attention both characters are getting this season as opposed to Season 1 when everything just happened to both of them (the boys are kidnapped by The Monarch--The boys are kidnapped by Brisby--The boys chase after Phantom Spaceman--The boys open a lemonade stand-- etc.) This season, often the boys are seperated, and the characters treat them as individuals instead of just 'the Venture boys' (Dr. Venture taking Dean along to get his 'speed suit--Hank getting a patricidal crush on Molotov Cocktease--Dean getting forced into that creepy marriage with Underbheit--Hank and his Batman fetish)

Come to think of it, I'm actually starting to LIKE the Venture brothers as characters, and not thinking of them as the weak links of the show...

You and I both, I know exactly what you mean. I hated the fact that they never developed their own character traits in the 1st season and that they were always together. That's why all the best episodes of The Venture Bros. are the ones where the boys play a prominent role in them.
