The survival of Catclops, Girl Hitler and Manic Eight Ball bothered me. Yes, they are great characters, but they were killed very thoroughly. I realize that I'm doing a Kathy Bates as Annie Wilkes in Misery here. (She complained about a cheat in a Republic serial.) I don't care, that was one of the things she was right about.

Seeing Baron Unterbheit made a fool of and taken down so easily bugged me. He's supposed to be scary, I thought. Maybe they'll make the Monarch terrifying by the end of this season to balance it out. That would be cool.

I guess Hank thinks that Star Wars is lamer than Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Unterland had a good look, and I liked the mounted heads of Baron Unterbheits former wives, and the fact that he took the wedding ring from his former wife's severed hand, that was cool.

Hank as a berzerker was cool, I'm actually surprised he wasn't more competent, but then Unterbheit's men were probably tougher than fake ghost pirates.

Girl Hitler will probably be a good supervillain if they decide to have her in future episodes.

Isn't Phantom Limb filling that "scary" (or, at least, competent) role quite nicely?

Actually, I find the downfall of Underbheit, and the show's general willingness to substantially change and develop characters, quite refreshing. Much better than the lazy and repetative "villian/problem of the week" writting we get in most American TV shows. It's okay if everything doesn't end up the same at the end of the episode as it was at the begining.
