Finally the wait is over! A season three episode of the Venture Brothers that actually has the Venture brothers in it! As with every week, use the comments to say whatever you want about The Doctor is Sin. The episode should be up on Adult Swim.com in the videos section right now and will play on TV at 11:30pm on Sunday. The comments will probably contain spoilers, so don't read them if you don't want to know what happens!

First! anyways, some references to note:
1. Kiss comic obviously
2. "He stole from your father, show him the meaning of loyalty" - Batman Begins
3. The tree guys being turned to dust from the magic murder bag could be from the Adam West Batman movie, where all the Countries' leaders turned to dust.
4. Nintendo Wii.
5. HADJI!!
6. When Brock hits the bad guy and drags him on the ground while driving seems to come from Sin City where Marv did the same thing.

Yeah, I loved this episode. I think that letter at the end shows that Dr.V doesn't check his mail often, therefore The Monarch's plan failed. It looks like its gonna be a bad-ass season and from the looks of the [adult swim] promo Dean might finally kick some ass too..........................

A really fun episode. Solid from start to finish. I'm sure it'll be even better on TV on Sunday.

Is this a suggestion that Tim-Tom fatally knifed 24 at the end of the last episode (surely not), or is this just the usual thing that happens to Guild henchmen who have been on the job so long that their real life family thinks they have gone missing? Since it's just Dr. Venture's dream/vision anyway I assume it's just Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer messin' with our heads, though.

One time #21 mentioned that he was kidnapped by the Monarch's henchmen when he was 15. Maybe this is how super-villains get their men?

I thought about that, but the picture on the carton was of 24, not 21, and the flashback/vision was to when Rusty was maybe 8 or 10 years old (tops) and I doubt that 21 is older than Rusty. We can be pretty sure 24 wasn't kidnapped as he was working for Phantom Limb before he worked for the Monarch, and also during their team-up with the Unterlanders 21 is the only one who talks about being kidnapped, and he doesn't seem too happy about it (ie, he's the only one to be recruited that way) whereas the other henchman talk about joining up as a career choice, ie, it was either that or join the army, etc.

Your right about that. I think he did say that he chose to join the Monarch. If that was him on the juice he would be at least 55ish years old. (if rusty was about 8 in the flashback 24 would have to be at least 20 in that picture. doc is 43 in real life, that would of been 35 years ago)So I think your right 24 can't be 55 years old, can he? I mean jeez he still owes money to his dad for the stanza.

Yeah I'm pretty certain 21 and 24 are in their 20's or 30's at the oldest....except, 24 is shown as being a henchman when the Monarch was just out of college and creating his archvillain persona....even assuming that 24 became a henchman when still a teenager and assuming the Monarch was a few years younger than Rusty, that still means 24 can't be that much younger than Rusty....maybe mid 30's which is pretty pathetic when you think about it....I'll bet 21 is younger though....maybe late 20's? Anyway, I'm sure the picture of 24 was meant to be an inside joke...they put missing kids pictures on milk cartons, not on orange juice cartons, right?

This episode was top notch for me. It is very venturesque to me. I very much enjoy the episodes that show the love between the Venture clan. Theres a lot of it. Don't ask me why I like that stuff I just do. They are all failures in their own ways but they work together and take care of business. I am also glad to see that once again the Doctor showed that he has good in his heart.

Solid episode. Love the references. VENCHMEN!! Total H.Y.D.R.A. move! I hope the good doctor gets his act together. Also, I wonder where Killinger gets his power and who he works for. Is he the devil? Or is he good? (I personally think he's a good guy who wants people to get back on the right track.) He was obviously showing Dr. Venture that he's NOT a super villain, and that he had the capacity to do great good.
So I guess Jackson and Doc can add "man" to the front of any word and make it a villain. Manosaur! What's next, Mantom Limb? Hiilarious!
All and all 9 out of 10. Good job Astrobase!

MIller Industries, I think you may be on to something about Killinger going though all that making Rusty into a villian to make him realize that he isn't. Looking at the ending in that context, it makes sense. But I still think Killinger is like some sort of Chaotic good character. He DID kill the board of directors for Super Science, but for the benefit of taking out all the red tape for Rusty. At least that's how I saw it.

The V-Pod bilboard, The idea of new Arches comming around, It was great. Part of me kind of wishes that Doc had become Evil. How do you think he would've stayed in buisness? I would like to know who would've purchased Evil-Venture goods. Who is the demographic for Arachnid research from evil scientists? I'm currious.
Do you think that Dr. V getting into Killingers bag could count as a Star Wars Reference? Kind of like Yoda sending luke into the Cave to face his fears(or whatever Yoda was trying to accomplish, it's been years.) Just wondering if I was the only one who thought that.
On a final note: Triana is Finally back from Orpheus Island! Yes, Triana hasn't made an appearance in the show since Torrid sent her to the Torrid zone.

I haven't noticed it myself, but I've heard she was in her 'Princess Twinkle Pants' costume, which was the girl that just represents Triana in Dean's Never ending Fantasy. So I wouldn't count it as Triana acutally being present, they just needed Extras from that episode running away and the animation studio through her model in there b/c Twinklebottom was in that ep.

Amaziah N. - I knew about Triana being at the wedding as Princess "Princess T.P." But I also knew it was a mistake by the Korean Studio like the other two guys said.

Not sure if anybody else noticed this, but the part where Killinger is talking about the universe pouring out its bounty is a reference to "The Secret." And no, I never wanted to watch "The Secret," but my girlfriend made me.

Based on comments by Killinger, it's pretty much surmised that Henry Kissinger of the Venture Universe led a double life as a very gray area supervillian. Reminds me of the comic Scud: The Disposable Assassin's own Voodoo Ben Franklin, former statesman and master of the black arts.

I really hope the inward journey Rusty took changes him as a whole, like yeah, he's still a bit of a failure, but not as bad as poor Johnny Quest.
