Figure Pre-Orders Begin

Head on over to the BifBangPow! store on Entertainment Earth to pre-order the new Venture Bros. figures. The two sets available are a Dr. Venture and Brock set and The Monarch and Dean set. Each set is $37.99 and set to be shipped out in August. No word on any accessories or anything else like that, but stay tuned!

Interesting pairing with Monarch and Dean. I personally can't wait for the Hunter Gathers / Dr. Dugong combo pack.

So conflicted as to whether to pre-order these. I think I'll wait until closer to the street date, see if any changes get made...

Dean and the Monarch? Really? Shouldn't the brothers be together? And the price? Wow.

They do that so if you want both brothers you must buy two sets. That type of marketing is yet another reason I'm going to pass. Plus a dwindling availability of storage space.

$38. Ouch. I hope they're not much more expensive to buy separately. Cause I only want one from each of those two pairings.

Yeah, me neither. Occasionally I'll check the Venture Bros page on the Adult Swim shop to see if anything new shows up.

Already ordered these, need to figure out what to put them on now.

WTF? I hope the finished versions look better than those protoypes. They look very sloppy, like my 2nd grader made them in art class. The Brock looks rediculous, like he's got midget arms. And why would anyone order them without seeing the finished product.

$38 for those ugly-ass things? Hell no. I don't want them that much. I've been waiting for some kind of collectible action figures for years, and the company they end up going with to make them puts out a bunch of stupid bobble-heads and hideously ugly figures at ridiculously inflated prices? I'm out.

I'm with Steve.

Too retro. Disappointing. As for bobble heads.. they can jam them up their ass!
I hate those freekin' things! Who buys that stuff? LOL
I'll wait for something up to date and more screen accurate to the characters.
People are used to McFarlane, Neca, Palisades type stuff these days.

Bif Bang Pow's bobble heads look pretty good. I'm interested to see how the Venture Bros. ones turn out. I don't really want to spend a ton of money on bobble heads, but I would totally buy a Billy bobble head. I think that has potential to be the best thing ever.

Sorry to Jackson and Doc; I hate to deprive them of cash; but I cannot justify buying poorly designed toys at rediculious prices just for the Venture name.
I'll save my money and buy this season's DVD....and have enough cash left over to buy another copy.
$40 bucks is just too high, even for toys that are designed well, Let alone these let-downs.

The Mysterious 'H'

10 months is about average for most productions. South Park just has a really fast turnaround due to the software they use and the fact that almost everything happens in one building. Most shows have a place for storyboarding/writing, another for voice recording, then have the bulk of the animation done somewhere else (usually overseas). After they get that back, they check it for animation errors, any of which are sent back for redoing. Then they score and foley the episode, edit it down for time and any content issues before finally being finished.

April Fools! I learned so much on the website. I had no idea mantids were so awesome; although ghost mantis creeps me out. Also was warned that "mantidies are our lords and masters" and "there is no stopping them" and "recommend buying a flame thrower"...this is all good to know ahead of time. Lisa is a prophet!

Lets help Mike keep the notes section of each episode's page as complete as possible. There are lots of references that are not included on those pages; point out what should be added so Mike can add it!
