Season 4.1 Finale Promo

Ever gracious, Adult Swim has posted the promo for the final episode of this half of season four, Pinstripes & Poltergeists. Just something to think about before the airing of The Better Man later today (or technically tomorrow, if you want to do that dance).

Thanks to 'A Viewer' for pointing this out.

It's weird to see Brock with dark circles around his eyes, it makes him look kinda sinister. Or mabie he's working long hours as a sphinx operative and doesn't get much sleep, at any rate I am PUMPED for this episode!

Is it just me or from what we can assume of the plot details wouldn't it seem like tonights Triad episode fit the title "Pinstripes and Poltergeists" while the Half Finale sounds more like "The Better Man"

Just my thoughts, but we all know what happens when one assumes...

I was just thinking that. Then again, we've only seen 30 seconds of material so it's hard to say how much of the episodes involves those clips.

Jackson himself told me the finale is named Pinstripes and Poltergeists, so it's not wrong. now if those clips are somehow reversed that would support your theory I guess, but I am going to assume pinstripes might not have much to do with Dr. O and 'the better man' probably doesn't refer to Brock and 21.

bigger budget, better network anyone??? adult swim kinda blows dropping the ball on on everything down to action figures. you would think they would be forgoing lunch to pay for a better set up with the bpot of gold that is VB. good luck fellas.

while AS does sometimes leave a little to be desired in terms of consistent scheduling and does tend to push VB aside for more profitable (and far less good) shows like Family Guy, etc. I think we should probably be thankful to them at the end of the day for letting VB roll on, relatively untouched by outside forces. Doc and Jackson can pretty much do whatever they want (within the rather limited budget of course), we get pretty kickass DVD releases, a fair bit of merch (more and more all the time it seems) and we get to rest easy knowing that the network isn't gonna cancel the show any time soon. Given Venture Bros.' cult appeal, a network like Comedy Central, MTV, etc. would have pulled the plug on the show long ago, or crippled it creatively. I can handle AS, lumps and all, as long as it mean VB keeps rockin.

Yeah that's the only part that sucks. If they really get into it, we're going to lose a fan favorite character, no two ways about it. One of them must die.

Brock's smile though, it seems like he's relaxed enough, found his place in the world, that maybe now he and 21 can duke it out as a friendly gentleman's game.

A poltergeist is "an ostensibly paranormal phenomenon attributed to an an invisible spirit or ghost that manifests itself by moving and influencing objects, generally in a particular location such as a house or room or place within a house." We've 24's skull move, and the promo mentions that 21 is going crazy. I don't see any reason to assume that the titles have been reversed.

The title could simply be a play on words. Pinstripes and Polkadots is a brand of laundry detergent. Or it could be relating to something else entirely. Who knows. But I think it's safe to assume the poltergeists half of the title is more relevant.

For all we know, Orpheus is a central player in the finale and they just didn't show him in the promo.

Yes, but tonight's episode is The Better Man. I'm talking about next week, the finale, for which Ghosts was the working title. Adult Swim has that episode still listed as Ghosts. This week's episode is listed as The Better Man on Adult Swim.

Last season almost every title was listed on AS (and thus, on the directv guide) as the working title. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter what the episodes are called though, does it?

Theory: every season has had some form of main antagonist. First the monarch, second phantom limb, third hatred and more or less OSI/the black hearts. Notice how this season has already pretty much ruled out Limb returning as such, 21 doesn't have the stomach for it, and hatred well... he's lacking in the hate department these days. Brock Sampson is this season's "villain," im calling it now. how can he not be Sphinx are clearly not the good guys, even if OSI is corrupt, plus not to mention the menacing music when brock removed his helmet after stabbing hitler (only qualm so far with my own theory, though perhaps this is just a red herring) in the first episode, and just look at him now in this trailer my god hes terrifying. Unless this episode finally gives 21 that push over board (definitely plausible id say,) Hatred's gets his hate back, or Limb is feigning insanity (both of which i highly doubt,) I think Brock's our baddie.

i used good/bad guys more or less to just help my case. nothing is black and white in the venture universe i just simply said that it seems possibly that Brock could be this seasons main antagonist, which is more or less not exactly a "bad" guy in the strictest definition of the word. and i don't see how that makes 21 a "good" guy simply just because their fighting.

According to IGN Tv, the finale is:

The Monarch makes his move on Dr. Venture, just as he's distracted by problems with zoning regulations. But how does Monstroso play in and what are his ultimate plans? And how does it all relate to Brock Samson and the mystery of Sphinx?

Hope this is true because I can't wait to see how big that lap is!

I don't care how buff 21 has gotten over the last year....he has no chance against the ultimate combat machine known as Brock. The fact that the promo makes it look like 21 has a chance is just a promo.

I knew we'd see Monstroso this season....too many hints in the commentaries and Convention tour.

Ah yes, Monstroso; yet another off-handedly mentioned character to be finally fleshed out. Sergeant Hatred, Captain Sunshine, I really hope we finally get to see Nat King Cobra in the future.

And calling it now; does anyone else think 21 dying is a legimate possibility here?

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
