Buddy Capsule + More

First off last night I finally finished The Buddy System capsule and notes and such. So you can bitch about stuff I missed here, or e-mail me if you're shy.

Secondly the old MSN episode guide has revealed yet another tentative episode title: The Lepidopteriot, a name which will probably change between now and the actual air date. Thanks to Nais for mentioning that one to me.

I think might be Pvt. "Tilde," not "Tildae."

If true, it would mean, in conjunction with Pvt. Schwa, that Hatred has a strange affinity for henchmen with linguistics-related names.

Haha I didn't even think of that. I kept searching for song names or bands. Thanks.

So I still don't get the "Sean Puffy Combs Daddy" joke, except that Dr. Venture is getting his name horribly wrong. What has P. Diddy got to do with Johnny or am I missing something?

Oh good point, I forgot to mention that. The joke with his name is just that Dr. Venture is in his 40s and out of touch with pop culture, but the reference to him asking for all sorts of weird stuff is from when a bunch of celebrity request forms were released to the public. The lists were given to hotel managers so they could have a fridge stocked with their favorite stuff but some of them were totally ridiculous. I will try and find that site and add it to the notes.

anyone want to join me on predicting that dr. mrs the monarch is getting evidence against the monarch about his arching dr venture so she can inform the guild to then go on to arch on her own?

Not really consistent to what we know about her character, though. After all, they're newlyweds, and Dr. Mrs. The Monarch has been pushing for equal villain status with the Monarch throughout their relationship (not separate villain status). She seemed pretty psyched to be a duo. And really, I doubt that Doc and Jackson would split them up again -- that was the plot arc of the entire last season.

I don't need to watch it again because I know exactly what they are planning. They wanted to kill all the henchmen, then the Monach so they can have Lady Au Pair all to themselves.

Dr. Mrs. The Monarch only wants them to stop him from arching Rusty. They want her to themsleves (see the end of the Buddy System.)

I thought when Sgt. Hatred said "...See if Au Bon Pain is okay." I thought he was touching how Sgt Hatred was enquiring about the condition of the henchman that Brock beatdown. Now I come to find out that Au Bon Pain is a bakery/cafe. I don't feel to damn smart now.

"Au Bon Pain" is a pretty bitchin' name for a French bakery-themed supervillain, though.

I'm pretty sure the Wilhelm scream has turned up a couple of times before - in Hate Floats (as Rusty, the Monarch, and the henchmen make their doomed charge at the end) and in I Know Why the Caged Bird Kills (in the Monarch's pre-credits assault on his accountant's office).

I knew the Wilhelm scream was in other episodes, but I couldn't remember which until you said "I Know Why the Caged Bird Kills" and you are right. I don't know about "Hate Floats". (sorry I am at work and don't have my dvds to find out).

In the opening montage for the camp, all of the kids show in the background were actually Jackson and Doc as kids.

Also, it would be sweet if anyone could decrypt all of the messages said over the P.A. while people are talking in the episode. One of them, during the "wait till you have kids" scene with Doc and Brock, is something like, "Attention campers, [something, something about Dean, maybe?] has been canceled... Thank God."

I don't know all of them, but that one is, I believe, Dean's square dancing lessons has been canceled. There's commentary for that episode somewhere on AS.com where Jackson and Doc explain that they added Pete to the episode at the last minute and there's actually a weird side story that happens only in the PA announcements. They're really hard to hear though.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
