Season Three... And Maybe Four?

Wizard Universe has a recap of the recent Comic-con fun with Doc, Jackson & company. In short:

[S]how creator Jackson Publick confirmed for the packed event hall that “The Venture Bros.” would indeed be picked up for a third season and that a fourth season is likely included with that deal but would be confirmed at a later date.

But wait, there's more!

When asked for an air-date for Season 3, Publick said, "[Season 3] may not air until Spring of next year."

So okay, it may be over a year-long wait yet again, but they also may not want to get our hopes up again. Or maybe they just want more time to do their thing and not kill themselves making the show. All conjecture, just like what Dr. Girlfriend was about to say!

When asked later about the whereabouts the show's more sinister villain, the Phantom Limb, Doc replied, "You got that whole third season comin' up... Stuff happens, it’s gonna be resolved; we're not 'Lost!' We'll tell ya!"

Why rely on sites to recap the events for you when you can watch the whole thing yourself?

Godfuckingdammit. I knew season 3 airing by winter of this year ,like Wikipedia said it would, sounded a litte too good to be true. Oh well, at least there's a lot more Venture to come in the distant future.

Slightly more than a year from now isn't the distant future; it will be here before you know it. Really this was what I expected all along. There isn't any way to speed up the process much; better to wait for the good stuff. It is worth it.

My only question is whether season four will be green lit at the same time; if they can work on season three and four at the same time, it would speed things up quite a bit and the waiting period between seasons three and four would be correspondingly reduced.

it seems to be a pretty safe bet that dr. girlfriend is pregnant, but who's the daddy? the sure bet is monarch, but i've been rewatching season 1. I was thinking that dr. venture could be the dad...remember midlife crystalsis?

Can't be, they never actually had sex, she drugged him when he was grabbing the long-past-expired condom.

"I'm pregnant" and "I'm a man" are both likely guesses, but they just seem too likely. Not that I have any better guesses. Maybe she's the Venture bros. real mother (except for the whole Myra thing, although that was left unresolved). Maybe she's Dr. Venture's long lost sister...or half-sister...

Yeah, if [adult swim] keeps airing shows like that retarded-ass Mole Men show and that Tim and Eric gaysome show, their asses are gettin cancelled. Who in the fuck comes up with those dumb-ass ideas. Even worse, who's the motherfucker at [adult swim] who lets it air?? Why the fuck they took The Venture Bros. off the air but let shows like that air makes no fuckin' sense. It may be a long wait until Season 3 and 4 but that just means they'll have more time to make the episodes flawless. I would like the focus of the show to shift away from Dr.Venture,Brock,The Monarch, and Dr. Girlfriend and focus more on Hank and Dean. I still feel like every other character in the show overshadows them.

Popular theory: Tim and Eric have pictures of key Cartoon Network/Turner Broadcasting execs performing various illegal sex acts. Thus they keep getting green-lit for new shows no matter how awful or stupid they are.

Anyway it's a theory that makes just as much sense as any other.

The "Dr. Girlfriend is carrying Dr. Venture's baby" theory has been squashed already, I believe, by Jackson Publick and/or Doc Hammer, IIRC. Rewatch the key scene; Dr. Girlfriend and Dr. Venture never had sex, despite the wishful thinking of Dr. Venture after the fact. The two logical choices for father are the Monarch and Phantom Limb.

Somehow I was hoping for some episode showing The Monarch's bachelor party.

We've already had the episode with the Monarch's batchelor party. It's when the minions go out afterward the party for a night on the town, visit a tatoo parlor, and wind up capturing Brock and the Venture family.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
