Dragon-Con Stuff (Updated)

As you may or may not know, Jackson and Doc will both be at Dragon-Con this year. It's in Atlanta, and I'm not quite sure how it's set up or if there are booths or something, but it's from September 1st through the 4th, so your best bet would be to just walk around for those four days dressed as the Monarch and just wait for them to find you. Aside from that, the always awesome provider of news and other tidbits HavocWare has pointed out a poster made by Doc Hammer which boasts a world premiere showing of the Venture Bros. (I assume it will be Fallen Arches, but that's just a guess) for those attending. Saturday, September 2nd at 10pm, if you must know. Be there or be some sort of shape with four equal sides and four right angles.

Update (8/31 5:15pm) - Ken Plume mentioned in the comments that the episode being shown is actually not Fallen Arches, but a brand new fresh episode that won't be on the air for a couple weeks. Also Jackson and Doc will be on a panel at 5:30pm on Friday and the 2:30pm Adult Swim panel on Saturday. So now you don't have to wander any more, hooray (you can still dress as the Monarch though)!

Also, check his 'scraps' page on DeviantArt (which is basically a section of his pieces which aren't complete, or uncategorized.) He has logos for the GoCI, as well as the bucket-trophy-mannequin head image from the VB s1 DVD.

Actually, it's not "Fallen Arches" - it's an episode that is literally hot out of the edit, and won't be airing for a few weeks.

Was that poster ever printed? I'd love to get my hands on one of those.

I searched as best I could for a printed version, but couldn't find one. I also sent an email to the DC ops as well as the AstroBase, but haven't heard anything back from either yet.

The next best thing is that the image itself is a decent size, which produces a clean-ish 8x10 on matte photo paper via a photo printer; which is what I did for my office.

The panel was GREAT! About an hour long and highly entertaining. Among the more interesting bits:

- The boys are definitely Doc's real, genetic sons. Brock is NOT Hank's father.

- The Monarch and Baron Underbheit won't be teaming up this season - his showing up at the Cocoon to crash was just a parting gag.

- There will almost definitely be a season 2 DVD (they refused to 100% admit it though)

- The episode they're playing tomorrow night won't air on Adult Swim for another month! So cmon out to the Atlanta Hyatt, buy 'con passes, and watch at 10pm tomorrow!

- Everyone got to hear the Monarch say he was 'tired of these mother****ing snakes on this mother****ing plane!'

For some reason I read the post as saying the panel for Venture Bros. was SATURDAY at 5:30. So I missed it? Fuck. At least I saved $30. That con is a ripoff.

I hope the panel was videotaped, I've really got to hear the Monarch saying that.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
