Adult Swim.com has put up a bunch of highlights from the VB panel at San Diego Comic Con last week. The panel included only Jackson and Mike Sinterniklaas, but it was still chock full of goodness. Check it out:

Must have been a lot of fun to be there in person - love the #24 v #24 moment. I like the talk of a movie, but what I worry about is whether it could actually feel like a movie. Seems most movies of TV shows just feel like very long episodes with the Southpark movie the only exception to the rule.

I really think that Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick are more than capable of doing an excellent film version of the show. o_o

Bemusingly, Adult Swim is blocking international access to this video. Does anyone know of a copy on YouTube or in torrentland?

Yes, please help those less fortunate...

Download hotspot shield. It blocks your IP or something and tricks the adult swim site into thinking you're US.

Chock full of goodness ... and facial hair! Jackson is rocking that beard and Mike's got some stubble as well. Very nice, gentlemen.

Is it gay to comment that Jackson looks reeeeeally good with facial hair?

If it is...just call me Sir Elton.

I think you're right. He should stick to the bead I think he looks way better and WAY more like a lumberjack.

I think it's only gay if you also want to have anal sex with him. Otherwise it's just the sort of compliment that's nice but sort of weird when another dude gives it to you and maybe if you were, like, a football player you would punch him in the face to prove how manly you are. You know, so people don't know you want to have anal sex with him.

Wait what were we talking about again?

my god I was thinking the same thing.
he looks so much cooler just in general.
it's amazing how much a beard can change what stereotype a person falls into.

JP's gone from "scary alleyway molester" to "rockin' indie cartoonist"

Thanks Mike.
I never woulda' found that video, as I hate going onto the AS website.
Can I just go on record as saying: I don't love to hate the moppets, I just plain hate the moppets.
I will throw one huge-ass party if and when Tim-Tom and Kevin FINALLY meet their end.

Don't like 'em either. Not one bit. They're just not...I don't know, something. I'm glad for any episode where they're not in it.

The Moppits, like Sgt. Hatred, grew on me... when I realized how FUN they must be to write.

As that girl in the audience said, we kind of like being abused.

And the Moppits are fan abuse. But I kind of like it.

I don't know. They seem to be kind of one dimensional at this point. I'm sure Doc and Jackson have something more complex planned for them but I just don't care for them, even as fan abuse.

Yeah I don't know if they are supposed to be anything aside from skeevy gross dudes at this point. I kind of doubt there are any grand plans in store for them aside from the fact that they are hated and just kind of disgusting characters. It's weird actually.

I didn't say they were deep or unique characters. Hatred has loads more depth, sure!

I do find their skeeziness funny, I suppose. And I like that they put characters that make everyone so uncomfortable in the show. I suppose it cracks me up on a meta-level. The look on my friend's face when they were talking about Dr. Girlfriend's white panties was funnier than most of that episode -- and that's saying something!

Think that's what Jackson and Doc want, is for you to hate them throughout the season then kill them off in a big way just to give the fans a victory. My bets on 21 and 24 to do the deed, so they can finally get their place in the sun.

Glad to see Flaming Carrot mentioned. He'd fit in perfectly in the Venture Bros universe.

So who is the guy at the podium? From his comments -- and the fact he also stands at the podium during the "Robot Chicken" panel, apparently -- I'm presuming he's some AS honcho. Any insights?

That appears to be Mike Lazzo, production executive for Adult Swim.

That's not Lazzo. I have the Moral Orel DVD which has some Comic Con footage (with optional Jackson/Doc commentary, no less!) of a panel, and he's there. They say his name when he's introduced. I can't remember it, but it's not Lazzo.

If you have the Moral Orel DVD you can check it yourself...if you want me to check, just let me know and I'll do it later on...me and the woman have a day trip to attend to.

Hmm, probably Keith Crofford then. He's co-executive producer for Adult Swim. I think he's in charge of the Adult Swim end of Venture Brothers producing, so that would make sense.

Yeah, I think you're right about it being Keith Crofford. I haven't double checked yet but that sounds really familiar.

Well, that was fun, and slightly informative, but the question session was kind of a circle-jerk, huh?
