We did. I believe this was supposed to be the fourth episode of season five, but production went faster on this episode to get it out on time.

It's called "gynecomastia". It's caused by aging, weight lifting, or (drum roll) chemical castration. You didn't think it was... odd, a sex offender handing out candy to kids?

I think Doc is trying to push the whole teen angst thing at least with Dean anyway. Throughout the special there were lots alluding to the boys trying to redefine themselves. The goth clothing, the dorm like bedroom makeover, the feeble attempts at facial hair growth.
