I got (and loved) The Shining references, and I could see Mother being like Hal from 2001, so would the third be Dr. Strangelove with the entire "live out a nuclear war underground" deal? Usually their references are more direct, though now that I've said it, I guess it counts.

I counted Dr Venture riding the bomb and as a Strangelove reference. Though Dr Venture's ride was less, shall we say, spectacular, Slim Pickens is the only other person I've seen do it.
