Jackson & Doc Talk Music

Continuing the daily barrage of updates, LA Weekly has another Jackson & Doc interview, this one primarily talking about music. There's not much info on the show, but it's still worth reading for sure as it contains that patented Jackson & Doc interview humor.

Season Four, Episode One Promo

Many thanks to Hank (in the comments, not Hank from the show, you know, because he's fictional and all) for finding this, but here's presumably an Adult Swim promo for the upcoming season premiere:

Again, October 18th at midnight! I will repeat it until you remember it! Or until after it airs. Whichever happens first.

Also for those interested, Adult Swim.com has the season three finale up, which includes the extended opening which sadly didn't make it to the DVD.

Top 10 Venture Bros. One-Shot Characters

In celebration of season four's start, the AS.com festivities begin with a list of The Top 10 One-Shot Characters, which includes at least one character that appeared in multiple episodes. Still though!

The Final Countdown

Just in case you weren't aware, the first episode of Venture Bros. season four, Blood of the Father, Heart of Steel, airs this upcoming Sunday night at midnight (which is technically Monday, but you know how this works). So tune it to your local Adult Swim channel and watch!

For those of you in the US without Cartoon Network you should know that new episodes this season will premiere on Adult Swim Video the very next day. Not sure what time they'll put the episodes online, but look for them on Monday. Note that this is different from last season when episodes premiered online the Friday before they were shown on TV, so adjust your calendars.

Captain Sunshine!

This got released today I think (or I just totally missed it before), but either way it's pretty sweet. Ten days to go!

You can also download this much larger one if you like.

Edit (1:18am EST): Sorry, forgot to mention my source on this. Thanks to io9 for posting a couple new shots (though most have already appeared on Jackson's blog).

Season 4.1 Schedule Revealed

Adult Swim finally revised their extended schedule to include the airing of each of the first eight episodes of the season (generally known as season 4.1). After Blood of the Father, Heart of Steel airs on the night of October 18th, Handsome Ransom will air the following Sunday. After that you get four more new episodes every Sunday night until the night of November 29th, which will reair an episode from two weeks prior. Then after that the final two episodes will air, with the last one on the night of December 13th.

Right now there aren't any episode names connected to the production numbers beyond the first two episodes, so it can get kind of confusing. The numbers refer to production order, but everything here is listed in airing order.

The First Episode of Season 4 Is...

As revealed by Jackson in the WFMU radio show in the update right below this one, will be Blood of the Father, Heart of Steel. I don't have a production number for it just yet, so no sad skeleton capsule for you just yet, but stay tuned. That's all for now! The season premiere is midnight on the night of Oct. 18th in case you haven't been paying attention!

Jackson & Urbaniak on The Best Show on WFMU

If you'be been following on Twitter you may have noticed that James Urbaniak mentioned that he and Jackson Publick would be on WFMU on The Best Show on WFMU, and indeed they were. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but you can listen to the show in the WFMU archives (it's the September 29th one) or with the handy embed thingy below if you like. Enjoy!

If you want to skip around, James and Jackson come on around the 1hr 19 minute mark.

EW's Top 25 Cult Shows

Entertainment Weekly put out a list of the 25 greatest 'cult shows' of all time. There are of course some obvious mainstays like Buffy, The X-Files and Freaks & Geeks, but guess which show is 23rd on the list? Go on, guess! No, it's not Ewoks. I swear to god.

Dragon*Con Panel Video

AS.com has posted select bits from the Dragon*Con 2009 Venture Bros. panel clocking in at around 10 minutes:

Enjoy!

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
