"All This And Gargantua-2" Discussion

These have been so few and far between that I forgot to post it! Check out the latest extra-special episode of Venture Bros., "All This and Gargantua-2". It's an hour long and stuff. While you're watching, or after it's over, if you prefer, head over to the comments here to discuss the episode. There will probably be spoilers, so be wary of that if you haven't seen the episode yet. Enjoy!

Also after you watch the episode, Adult Swim has put up a five minute epilogue that also contains a brief glimpse of season six. Again, watch the episode before you watch the epilogue, but you should totally watch the epilogue.

Check Out Some "All This and Gargantua-2" Screen Grabs

These are pretty much everywhere now, but if you love this site most of all for Venture Bros. news and information (and I know you do), click through to check out some screen grabs from the upcoming episode, which is with all certainty titled "All This and Gargantua-2". Watch the special episode on Adult Swim this Monday night at midnight Eastern/Pacific time. Technically Tuesday for those timezones, but you know the drill.

Check Out The Venture Bros. Special Extended Trailer

As if you needed another reason to tune in Monday night at midnight eastern time (11pm central), here's Adult Swim's trailer for the episode, which is potentially named ("All This And Gargantua-2", but I have no idea just yet). I'll just leave you two alone:

January 19th: Venture Bros. One Hour Special

I know the sheets news is probably more than you can deal with right now, but I've got a little more for you. The often talked about one hour special that was slated for the end of 2014? Well it's actually slated for January 19th, 2015 (at midnight ET/PT), which is pretty close to the original timeframe, and also happens to be only one month away! Bonus! I don't know what the episode is about, but it appears it will contain some spaceships flying over the planet, which is pretty cool. Check back for more info if any is released, but otherwise mark your calendars for January 19th!

Get Your Team Venture Bed Sheets

If you've ever wanted Team Venture in your bed, and don't pretend like you haven't, then I can't really help you but this is about the closest you can get to it. Adult Swim is dipping their toe back into the merchandise world with As Seen On Adult Swim, and they're now offering a set of Venture Bros. bed sheets (queen sized) for a mere fifty American dollars (plus applicable taxes). It's a limited time offer, and when they're gone, they're gone forever, and you know you'll regret not having these if you miss out. Just think about the void in your life from not buying that Hankbuck towel. Don't let that happen again!

In These Venture-less Times, Watch The SDCC 2014 Panel

Since the show, and by extension this site, is on hiatus (or semi-hiatus), I forgot to post this when it actually came out. Back in late July San Diego Comic-Con happened and Jackson, Doc and James were all there doing a panel:

Plenty of info in there about the upcoming special as well as season six, or just fun banter between the three guys, if that's your bag (and it should be, because why wouldn't it be?).

Fresh from Comic-Con:

Need A Venture Bros-centric SDCC Schedule? Cool!

If you're attending SDCC with the sole purpose of doing Venture Bros. type things and not much else then have I got the thing for you! Check out the official Mantis-Eye unofficial SDCC Venture Bros. schedule for all your Jackson and Doc needs. There's the usual panel and two signings and... that's all for now, but there's probably some other stuff maybe? I don't know. Either way it's a handy guide you can use when you're at SDCC but can't remember when to go to an event (hint: they are all at noon, or noon-fifteen).

There's probably some other non-Venture stuff at SDCC, but I'll leave those schedules up to whoever else wants to make them. I don't even know what to do with that information, to be honest.

Update: Also a belated thanks to The Venture Home News for letting me know about the Entertainment Earth signing. I accidentally forgot to credit them for sending me that bit of news!

Even More Comic-Con Madness

For those of you attending SDCC this year, you already know about the Venture Bros. panel with Jackson and Doc, of course, but did you know they'll also be autographing things at the Adult Swim booth on Saturday? Check out Adult Swim's kind of creepy SDCC page for more info on non-Venture stuff, but the deets you want are Saturday, July 26th from 12pm until 1pm at the Adult Swim booth, #3721. Also make sure you get your butt to the Adult Swim booth sometime earlier in the day (the earlier the better) to pick up tickets for the signing, because you'll need one to get an autograph.

Additionally Entertainment Earth has a couple of convention exclusive Venture Bros. items that you can purchase at their booth (booth #2343):

  • Bloody Black Shirt Brock 3 3/4" action figure - $14.99 - A variation on the many Brock figures that BifBangPow! has produced. This one has a black shirt and battle damage.

  • Set of 6 Character Shot Glasses - $26.99 - Shot glasses with some of your favorites: Hank, Dean, Brock, Dr. Venture, The Monarch and Classic Dr. Girlfriend. If you have friends who love the show and also getting drunk, then this is for you. Or maybe you only want to drink a couple ounces of water at a time, I don't know.

Both of these can be purchased at the convention but will also be available through the regular site (while they last) in August. Just in case you can't get to SDCC but want to pretend that you did. Entertainment Earth also usually has a signing with Jackson and Doc, though none has been announced yet, but keep an eye out for an additional chance to get them to write on your stuff.

Join The Venture Bros. Panel at SDCC 2014

Comic-Con is slowly releasing the schedule, but the most important event for Venture Bros. fans is this year's Venture panel. It will be on Friday, July 25th at 12:15pm:

The fifth annual [adult swim] panel block at Comic-Con will be kicked off with the cult-favorite series The Venture Bros. Co-creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer take the stage to discuss the upcoming sixth season of their original series and to answer fan questions.

I'll have the full slate of Venture Bros. events and activities all in one place for you to peruse once all schedules are finalized. Until then, get your costumes ready!

The Venture Bros. Panel from NYCC 2016 is archived on Twitch at the mail channel. Some minor spoilers to follow... Orpheus and Dermott have both been written in to Season 7, though the latter in small doses. They are finishing working on the scripts and they hope to start production in the next month or two. They have said this before but the first episode of Season 7 will act as a finale to Season 6. (Much like how the Gargantua-2 special ended Season 5 on a proper note). They are very conscious that the past two seasons have not had a proper finale and they are trying to fix that in Season 7. While they have not been renewed for a Season 8, they HAVE NOT been cancelled. In fact, they said they are specifically not writing Season 7 as if it were the last one. Finally, The Art of the Venture Bros. is still a go! It has expanded into a much bigger book than they imagined and Ken Plume has been doing the work on it. It has material from all six seasons, and it sounds like an in-depth interview that spans the entire book. Release date and information still to come.
