The Mantis-Eye Experiment To Go Dark On January 18th

If you're a user of the internet, and I know that you are, you may have heard of two anti-piracy bills that have been kicking around in the US Senate and House. They are Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP Act (PIPA). For US citizens passage of these bills would be a major blow to a free and open web, and potentially a means to an end for many sites out there that depend on community-driven content and participation.

In general I try not to take any sort of political stance here (with varying degrees of success), since it's not really the time nor the place, but I feel that these two bills are too detrimental to ignore. So on that note, following the lead of Wikipedia, Reddit and many, many more this site will go dark tomorrow, January 18th from 8am until 8pm (eastern time). To learn more about SOPA and PIPA, and to learn what you can do to help, visit Stop American Censorship. Thanks for your support and understanding.
I think this is a great idea. While I have never once missed out on going to Mantis-Eye at least once a day for almost 7 and 1/2 years now, this unified effort will be worthwhile.

10 months is about average for most productions. South Park just has a really fast turnaround due to the software they use and the fact that almost everything happens in one building. Most shows have a place for storyboarding/writing, another for voice recording, then have the bulk of the animation done somewhere else (usually overseas). After they get that back, they check it for animation errors, any of which are sent back for redoing. Then they score and foley the episode, edit it down for time and any content issues before finally being finished.

April Fools! I learned so much on the website. I had no idea mantids were so awesome; although ghost mantis creeps me out. Also was warned that "mantidies are our lords and masters" and "there is no stopping them" and "recommend buying a flame thrower"...this is all good to know ahead of time. Lisa is a prophet!

Lets help Mike keep the notes section of each episode's page as complete as possible. There are lots of references that are not included on those pages; point out what should be added so Mike can add it!
