Operation C.A.P.S.U.L.E.

The final season four capsule is up. It's ultra-long and contains a ridiculous number of screen shots. If you think anything is missing (I know there's stuff) or wrong you should let me know via one of the various methods. Enjoy!

Awesome job, man. Must have been a ton of work.
Okay, so I have a few notes and minor errors. It's entirely up to you if you want to use any of this.
First, I'm surprised you didn't point out the Sgt. VD thing like you did in the comments. Next, two small errors- the mission Hunter and Mile High are on is Double Dumbo Drop and Treister's pants are purple, not pink.
In the notes, I think Kate McKinnon also voiced the mail lady. I'm not sure about that but I think it was her. You might want to mention the Last Tango in Paris ref but I'm not sure how common knowledge that is, so that one's a maybe. Also, there's an Action Johnny definition at Urban Dictionary as well.
For questions left unanswered, maybe something about the fate of Monstroso. Shore Leave said they were doing a shell game, which has led to speculation that there's a third Monstroso somewhere and the one in the limo was another decoy.

Well, that's all I can see. Again, great job man and Go Team Venture!

I feel a bit bad adding this, but Tracy's real. Maybe not Dean's relationship with her but she's the girl Dean was talking to in the parking lot in The Better Man.

Just one comment on the lingering questions section-

Am I the only one who cares/thinks that the "Who killed 24" plot has yet/needs to be resolved? In all honesty, that's the only reason I want to see a Season 5 so badly. Shouldn't that be addressed? Or is it generally accepted the Moppets killed him?

Actually, I feel like it works a lot better to *not* find out who did it. It's a realization that not all mysteries are or can be solved. It also lets 21/Gary grow as a person, by having him accept that sometimes, horrible things happen, and you just have to let it go and move on.

When Cardholder, Doe, and Hunter interrupt Treister in the bathroom, you can see that he was reading the Venture home news. And when the younglings see the Osi airship thing, one of them makes a Star Wars reference and says, "A city in the clouds."

This is pretty irrelevant, but regarding Treister blasting into space: I would think the acceleration and speed required to break orbit would kill him long before he left the atmosphere. Anyway, it's a cartoon, so, like I said, not all that important.

My thought was that he was already frozen when the capsule opened. Maybe it was specially designed to flash freeze him so his body would not be damaged by the trip or exposure to the vacuum of space. Though that wouldn't protect him from radiation, but again we're talking about a cartoon where folks have superpowers and such.

Great job! Just an added bit of info about Provincetown, or P-Town for short, for those not from New England or the Northeast region in general, P-Town is located at the very far tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts and is noted for, among other things, having a sizable gay community.

Also, when Shore Leave tells Gary he is going to "wash that man right out of your hair", there was a TV commercial from, I think the 80's, for hair coloring for older women, where the song goes, "I'm gonna wash that gray right outta my hair". I've also heard that the South Park movie had a song that went, "I'm gonna wash that man right outta my hair", but I haven't seen it for years. There might be an actual song from somewhere else that these other two versions are based upon.

"I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right out of my Hair" is a song from the play South Pacific. Seeing as Jackson went on a major musical theater tangent this season, I'd say it's definetly a reference to that.

I don't know if this was mentioned anywhere else, but I didn't see it. Mol, as the masked rookie, is a total reference to Leia in Return of the Jedi, disguised as the bounty hunter, Boushh, to rescue her unconscious lover Han from Jabba's clutches, similar to Monstroso's state. Except Han was in carbonite, and Monstroso was just drugged...Either way, they both would weigh a ton. Leia's costume: http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/2/29754/898677-leia_boushh_still_super.jpg

I wonder, was it Mol in the rookie costume the whole time, back in Any Which Way But Zeus, or has she killed and replaced a genuine SPHINX rookie between the two episodes? Not that it matters much I suppose.

Good point. I would conjecture that if it wasn't Mol right from the get-go, that she got some dope planted in there herself, so she could soon after kill and replace him. She is a dedicated, merciless mercenary. I am also still convinced that neither she nor Monstroso is dead. And which Monstroso is real? Seems like we are led to believe that Hunter thought the one he took with him to OSI hover quarters was real, but it was actually filled with OSI/SPHINX guys, and the Shore Leave/Molotov body was actually the big man?

On an OT sidenote, whatever happened with the book "Flight of the Monarch"? Shouldn't 21 be getting royalties or some heavy compensation from that?

I'm still not convinced Mol had the real Monstroso either. As for FOTM, they probably got a one-time payment and spent it on collectibles. Gary doesn't seem to be a very business-savvy individual.

Gotta feel sorry for Monstroso. He's appeared i three episodes, and in every single one of them he has ostensibly been killed (or is about to be) by the end. Great character; he needs to survive. Mol I'm not bothered about; she's one of the few characters on the show that I've never, ever warmed to.

I don't know. Scott Hall's been in a similar situation and I feel no affection for him. I suppose it'd be nice to see him in the right story. Mol, I think, would fit into almost any story they could write.

I feel that, too, however, Scott Hall was an uptight guy who cared deeply about, and was skilled at, his job, but was pushed over the line, attacked by Brock, and subsequently snapped, becoming all evil and vengeful. Monstroso is evil, but has a lot of character and conviction where Scott is extremely boring. Monstroso is interesting and has a lot that can be done with his story. He is an integral part of the web, in regard to the OSI, SPHINX, both sides of GCI, Black Hearts, and also, Billy. That is a lot of clout that man has. Scott is a one-off who returned as a one-off, possibly to show up again with Revenge Society, maybe, or something of that sort, but probably nothing more.

The problem with Mol being the rookie all along is that Hunter vouched for him/her in Pomp and Circuitry so that'd mean he'd have been in on Mol's plan. Not that that's out of character for him, but it adds another layer to the events of 4.2.

This is just a reflection on my part after having just watched P.R.O.M. for the 8th time. As much as I love the fact that the Ventureverse has grown so much over these past 4 seasons, and now includes many interesting characters, I think I'd like to see season 5 focus more back on Hank and Dean and their continued evolution into young adults. We can still have all the other folks and plots, of course, but with the boys back in the forefront.

Sky Pilot says that flying Sphinx headquarters is like trying to drive a Green Machine made out of cement. I hope he was referring to one of these: http://www.marxtoymuseum.com/_borders/greenmachine.jpg
The hand controls of flying Sphinx headquarters are similar to those of that ancient, over-sized big wheel. I loved my Green Machine so much that it significantly delayed my learning to ride a bike :)

the term "elephant's graveyard" comes from a legend that elephants, when they reached a certain age, would leave their group and go to a remote location to die alone. it was mainly because of large numbers of elephant skeletons were sometimes found together, like a graveyard. though the reason for them isn't because they go there to die, just due to behavioral changes when elephants become older (they tend towards softer plants that grow near water) or food becomes scarce (so they group where food can be found but many still die).

I dunno I wasn't sure if it was really necessary to include but I guess I'll add it.

After the first veiwing I was thinking, okay the Monarch is wearing Rusty's blue tux from Cremation Creek, even though the Monarch is obviously taller, but were did they get a dress for her? So I took a closer look the next time I saw it. Not that I need much of an excuse to take a closer look at her, meow!

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
