Breaking News: This Year's Christmas Song En Route

Another Update: Grab and/or listen to it!

Update: The song will premiere tonight live on FRED! Click the link below to listen in. The show starts at 9pm! Enjoy! If you can't make it Ken will probably put the song up for download a little later.

FRED Live!

Original: Ken Plume just tweeted that Jackson and Doc have passed off this season's Christmas song to him, though no word on when he's going to release it. Word on the street (Twitter) is that it's a whopping seven minutes long too. However if you simply can't wait then maybe the previous Venture Bros. holiday songs will tide you over in the meantime. Those are hosted on FRED, Ken's site about TV, movies and that sort of thing. If you're in the Holiday mood you might even want to show your support for FRED by throwing Ken a couple of bucks. The man tirelessly puts out some high quality content, it's totally worth it! No pressure of course. I'll let you know when the song goes up.

Once again we get screwed by the Hollywood elite and their PST :P

Guess it will be an actual Christmas gift for me since I'm barely awake with the cold I have.

It was streamed from 9:56 to 10:03. So yeah, not really 9:00 at all.

Shallow Gravey doing a "Its Christmas Time Again" song which was actually pretty awesome followed by a slew of Venture characters doing a pretty trippy Doors-esque poem.

In Ken's defense he nor anyone ever said they were debuting the Venture Bros song at 9 pm, just that his live stream was beginning at 9 and if you checked his twitter posted above he gave a 10 minute notice when he was starting the Venture portion of the show.

Wanted to wish all Team Venture a very Merry Christmas, Kwanzaa, Chanukah, Robonukah, whatever the hell they celebrated in Eternia. Also should Jackson or Doc happen upon these comments, best wishes to them as well and thanks for all their hard work.

And big props to Mike for being here to bring us up to speed on everything Venture.

Just listened and it is awesome! So different from anything they've done. I admit, I prefer the more traditional stuff but this was great. It's crazy how everybody's doing their own thing, telling their own story but it all works somehow.

It's a take on those Beatles Christmas radio shows (I guess originally intended as fan club records). A mix of songs, the Beatles talking directly to their fans, and poems and stuff. They get replayed on some Public radio stations.

Hank's singing is pretty fucking unbearable. The poems, etc. are all wonderful, though. Happy Holidays!

Hoooly crap, wow.

That was a 7 minute long acid trip. I'm a little (though not really) disappointed that we got Col. Gentlemen instead of Rusty and rest of the Venture family, but given that this was just Jackson and Doc and this was only worked out super recently that part's understood.

It's great to hear Billy tell stories, he's SO into it! And I totally called Shallow Gravy. You can't see it, but I'm nodding my head in pride at my ability to predict things.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
