Operation: Promos

I'm pretty glad I had a second chance to use that headline. Thanks Jory! Anyway, if you've been watching Adult Swim you may have seen some promos for the upcoming hour-long Venture Bros. finale extravaganza "Operation P.R.O.M." which airs this Sunday at 11:30pm. Well, Adult Swim.com has finally put them up. Enjoy this first one, which contains scenes from the episode and view more as you see fit!

This next one involves hot topic teen issues, and stars Jackson & Doc:

And finally another spot with Jackson & Doc, though mostly Jackson. Doc can't hold his... liquids... I guess.

Score! Who is hosting the season finale party? I'm totally there!

I think "Operation: P.R.O.M.O.S." would have been better.

Wow, hadn't seen the teen issues one. They all look awesome. Can't wait.

Anybody notice the name of the bar in the teen issues promo? Coincidence? Or is that the bar Doc and Jackson mentioned in the Season 3 commentaries? I remember them saying they went to a bar for premieres or something like that. I think it was in ORB, when Rusty was drinking that disgusting sugary drink.

Oh, and based on promo #1, let's hope Billy and White don't bring the shrink ray, if you know what I mean.

They won't. But i'm still confused as to what would make Triana and Dean fight. But whatever issues their having their gonna have to work out while fighting the OSI. And as a bonus, what role does the mighty monarch play in the events to follow? And why dose doctor venture assume the boys need prostitutes?
All I know is that after this, nothing in the venture world will be the same.
Happened the last two times.

Maybe Dean starts talking dirty to her. I mean, Doc and Jackson said this would be a blue episode, with swearing being a rite of passage. Also, I don't think Rusty ordered the escorts for the boys necessarily, which is why I was worried about this becoming a repeat of that birthday Rusty told Hank about.

As for the Monarch, no idea what he has to do with any of this. Probably kidnaps the boys or something.

True the Monarch has a tendency to just show up when he wants to, and will proabably end up in the middle of things.
And I don't think deans going blue. He's way too weak. But Triana probably rejects him or something.

The bar they're in is a real bar in New York City... a hipster tiki/nautical themed dive in Greenwich Village that looks like a 70s rec room. That decor and the name put it squarely in their wheelhouse (http://www.yelp.com/biz/rusty-knot-new-york)

I don't remember if it's the one mentioned in the commentary, but it's only been open since '08 or so.

On a completely unrelated note, I drew Sgt. Hatred on my test at school yesterday. I got it back today, and the teacher drew Billy Quizboy.

Awesome. Sometimes I think the Venture Bros. niche is too small.....but stories like this give me hope that it is reaching a broader audience than season 2 did (at the time of its airing).

The pickup after season two was pretty good but the pickup between season three and four has been quite big. Lots more sites and stuff have cropped up, plus word of mouth helps the show a ton (don't forget Facebook and Twitter weren't as insanely popular as they are now during season three, and they practically didn't exist during season two). Heck, just the traffic to this site has increased a bunch from 3 to 4.1 to 4.2. It's pretty cool!

I joined during the wait for season 4. I discovered the show during Summer 09, as Adult Swim was airing repeats. First episode I saw was Powerless in the face of death, which... was rather confusing, but I watched every episode I could. Soon after, I bought every DVD, joined People's Republic of Venture, and found out about Mantis Eye.

Thanks Mike, for creating this website. You are a god.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
