Season 4 Volume 1 DVD Review

Happy Halloween, friends! Since we're in a minor hiatus before the season finale (enjoy a rerun of "Bright Lights, Dean City" tonight, by the way) and I'm currently slacking off on starting the capsule for "The Silent Partners", I decided to write a quick-ish review of the Venture Bros. Season 4, Volume I DVD for your enjoyment. I'm not sure if it's even going to be overly useful to anyone who frequents this site, but check it out anyway if you're on the fence about buying the DVD, or if you're just curious what's on it.

So, from the commentaries, what we know about the finale (Kinda spoilery, so LOOK AWAY if you don't want these previews I guess

-Lot's of Doc Hammer "heart felt" scenes/discussions
-More swearing than usual; like a lot.

All that, to the extreme! Seriously, that's basically what they said.

Overall, nice review. Couple of minor issues but nothing worth getting into.

$18 at Best Buy? Gawwd I live in Canada and paid $32 at Best Buy - more than I paid for season 3 I believe.

But it was worth it for the nipples I suppose.

Yeah. Canada here. 35 dollars. Total of $40 including taxes.
Yikes. I like to tell myself it's worth it. I enjoyed the commentaries a lot.

The exchange rate is like a 0.9808 right now. I don't know why they gotta
charge me more :P

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
