New Episodes September 12th For Sure?

Venture Bros. Blog is reporting that Adult Swim recently aired a bump confirming the previously speculated September 12th start date. Among other things the season was named not as 4.2 (or 4.5) but as season 5. I haven't seen the bump yet myself, but everything seems to be pointing towards 9/12 so I guess it's (finally) time to mark your calendars.

Damn. I was just being a sarcastic bitch when I said I now considered 4.2 (or 4.5) to actually be season 5. Well, so be it I suppose. Whatever they want to call it so long as Mike doesn't have to reset the countdown clock again.

It won't be; it was to be 8 episodes but the last one will be an hour long. So it will be 9 new ones. I don't really care how long it's taken; it comes down to quality over quantity and quality takes time.

The important thing to remember is that this show is basically made by two guys, which is unprecedented in animation. Most animated shows of Venture Bros. calibre animation and writing have a staff of like 10 writers, plus a couple of directors and so on. This show has Jackson & Doc. Doc writes half the episodes and then he also does editing and special effects. Seriously try and find another guy who does both of those things for a show!

My point being that these guys basically had season 3 and 4 planned to be back to back, that's basically writing/directing/editing an entire season of the show each. That's absurd! Those guys are so overworked it's not even funny (though they will never admit it).

Anyway just cut them some slack. New stuff will be here, which is really all that matters at the end of the day.

And lets not forget voicing every character but like three of them! They really do an amazing job for it mostly just being the two of them. And that's why I love 'em.

As long as it's worth the wait, I'll be ok with this. Jackson and Doc obviously care a lot about the show being good so I'm willing to be patient.

I'm going to be patient, and bitching about it won't help matters any.

Like others have said, Jackson and Doc care about their animated child and I'm sure we're going to get the best!

Wait, but the Adult Swim bump states that it's 4.5, not 5. Am I the only one noticing this?

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
