Season DVDs On Sale

Until March 1st, Deep Discount DVD has each season of Venture Bros. on sale for only $15.98. So for those of you without the DVDs, still, for whatever reason, that's a pretty sweet deal. On top of that the season three Blu-Ray version is also on sale for a measly $26.98, so if you were waiting to grab that for whatever reason, here's your chance. There are also a ton of other Adult Swim DVDs on sale as well, should they strike your fancy.

Yeah! Season 2 was kick-ass! Just as good as Season 1. I was really sad they didn't make a 3rd season....but Archer is good....I still want me more Xander Crews though.

From what I heard, Season 3 of Frisky Dingo was supposed to be in space.

Yeah, they Xander and Killface were headed to Killface's home planet. The inside of the spaceship was to look like Sealab. It never got beyond brainstorming period though. Not sure if it would have been as great without Xtacles and Grace Ryan though.

I finally got to see all 5 eps they've aired. Love it! http://re1ease.net/cartoons/archer/index.html
Unfortunately it's on the wrong network for that sort of show (FX) and the ratings have plunged. Hopefully, if they can it, AS or Commedy Central can pick it up and revive it. It's on Thurs @ 10pm and they reshow it at other odd times like Sunday @ 11:30pm.

I think FX is a good network for Archer because the show does have occasional nudity and they leave the swear words unbleeped, and you wouldn't be able to get away with a lot of that stuff on AS or CC.
I personally love Archer and tonight's episode looks like a winner.

I'm glad Aisha Tyler is on Archer along with H. Jon Benjamin. They make for some great comedy.

Although I never really watched Frisky Dingo, what's this I hear about a beef between Adam Reed and AS (or Cartoon Network in general), so that's why no season 3 of FD and Archer is on FX, and will probably never move to AS if FX cans it?

10 months is about average for most productions. South Park just has a really fast turnaround due to the software they use and the fact that almost everything happens in one building. Most shows have a place for storyboarding/writing, another for voice recording, then have the bulk of the animation done somewhere else (usually overseas). After they get that back, they check it for animation errors, any of which are sent back for redoing. Then they score and foley the episode, edit it down for time and any content issues before finally being finished.

April Fools! I learned so much on the website. I had no idea mantids were so awesome; although ghost mantis creeps me out. Also was warned that "mantidies are our lords and masters" and "there is no stopping them" and "recommend buying a flame thrower"...this is all good to know ahead of time. Lisa is a prophet!

Lets help Mike keep the notes section of each episode's page as complete as possible. There are lots of references that are not included on those pages; point out what should be added so Mike can add it!
