I am betting we won't find out what the hell happened at the end there for at least two weeks. Next week's episode is what was going on with Dean while this was happening and maybe the week after will be what happened with Dr. Venture since Dean said he never came back?

I think next week will focus on Dean and Impossible, and then the week after that will focus on the possesed rusty from the Adult Swim trailer, hence the name assisted suicide

I was under the impression Rusty came back atleast to the Venture compound when he was buying back his remotes from Hank Co.s
I do agree we probably won't find out about the very end for a little while though.

I am also confused by this.

Dean, Doc V and Hatred leave for New York
Doc V and Hatred return to compound 4 days later
Dean returns from New York at the end of episode (end of summer) and asks Hank if he had seen Doc V because he left without saying good bye.

Maybe Dean is saying that he disappeared after the second time Doc V returned to New York to pick him up? I don't know.
